2016 Ilx Headlights on 2013?

Hi,

I just bought an ILX last week. I found a pair of 2016 headlights for 400$ CAD.
Wondering if anyone finally made the move? Did lots of research and the most recent related post is a couple months old.

Thank you guys !

^the most important part is the shape. does the new headlight follow the old headlights shape? if so, will it bolt up!?

electrical connections are easy as you can snip, connect, crimp, retrofit different kinds of harnesses......

the biggest factor is....Will it bolt up?

Right!! Might buy these aniway and try them/ sell them if they do not fit...
From what I can see, the shape seems similar o_O

The only thing that might be an issue is the actual size of the headlamp. Notice on the older ILX that the grille doesn't touch the headlamp, but on the new ILX it does. It could just be the grille got larger and the headlamp stayed the same size.

The last post regarding headlights should have said they wont fit.

Your looking at possibly new grill, new bumper, maybe new fenders. And im sute the harness is different for the new lighting.

^if some one were to get into a front end collision and have a deductible of $500, one could do the conversion on the cheap.

hahahah.

As for the whole front end swap, you are probably right, Just like old civics 96-00.
However, I'm not a fan of the new front bumper (mostly from the side). I will post more information if I find something. I might buy the whole front end from a wrecked car.

Might be achievable -postitive outcome

Any Update on this? I bought a repairable (2013) and Why would I get the HID if the LED fit?

as stated in this thread; you'll need to change bumper, headlights, and grille.
not worth it if paying out of pocket, can easily reach $2k or more.

it's only worth it if one gets into an accident and has a deductible of $500...have insurance buy all OEM parts and have shop install
