2016 ILX donut spare

About a year ago I bought a used 2016 ILX which only came with the patch kit. I could get the full donut spare and kit for over $300 from the dealer (currently on back order), but I was wondering if there may be a substitute car (older model Honda Accord say) from which I could more easily get the donut (and likewise for less $). Thoughts?

I've been thinking of getting the donut spare just for peace of mind so I'm not stranded. Even if another donut were to fit okay, how about the styrofoam insert that keeps everything in place and not moving around? That might be specific to the ILX?

I’m not so worried about the styrofoam as I am sure I could use something else for the same purpose. I’d rather save some money on the spare and possibly be able to get one thing that would suffice (and give me some peace of mind) at a lower cost than what the dealer quotes.

The kit for the 2019 should be the same and is $125.xx (without tire)

Thanks - I’d need the tire too and that is the expensive part. I was hoping to find another donut tire which would serve as an adequate replacement. I was hoping to get one form an older market Honda and looking for suggestions. Thanks!

As long as it fits with the brakes, that was the problem I saw.

I went to the junk yard and picked up a spare from a TL with the jack and handle for $40.
