I’ve had my 2016 ilx with 76k miles since February and it’s been a fantastic car. no problems at all until this last week or so. While accelerating ive started to hear a pretty awful noise coming from the front right wheel. No knocking or grinding but it’s a weird metallic spinning sound. Took the wheel off and didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary, could someone pls help me try to pin point what this sound could be. is this happening just when you hit bumps in the road? and only when accelerating or anytime?

 

Did you checked the brake pads and the little wire springs that attach to the brake pads? Did you do any brake work recently?

 

Both usually around 30-40 mph and then when I brake it stops. Today it’s lasted a little longer but still very random. And then small bumps on the right side seem to trigger it as well.

 

no brake work since I’ve had it, I did get new tires a month ago but it just recently started. I didn’t take off the brakes but I did look all around them and on the rotor But nothing out of the ordinary. I’ll try to get the brakes off tonight and check that spring. Drives normal too it’s super weird.
