Arrow 2015 ILX BASE WITH NAV HEAD UNIT swap

Hi, it's been talked said a lot on here but the ilx community isnt a modder community more of an older person car. aka barely any mods are found online for this so i took the liberty of contacting a local audio shop and ill see if they can wire a 2015's ilx nav radio head unit to a base 2015 il. I just want a bigger screen and im mad how Acura is a better version of honda yet the honda is better at this point (sound system-wise)

If anyone has any suggestions or any adapters they think might be useful let me know!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OR IF BETTER YET u know a person who actually did this let me know!!!!

it would be easier and cheaper if you sold your car and bought the ILX with the navi instead of trying to figure it out.

well, then...you're stuck with an $8.5k car without the navi.

probably would cost around $4k-6k to retrofit the navi...in which case it would bring your total cost of your car to $15k.

like i said; it's easier and cheaper to buy the car with the navi in the first place.

It's just the nature of modern cars in that all the systems are integrated and not easily modded. If you end up spending 50% of the car's value just to add OEM navi (which is already obsolete compared to the modern Acura infotainment stack such as the 2019+ RDX) that's just crazy. The problem with tech in cars is that after 4-5 years they are obsolete but very likely the car itself can still last another 10-15 years. You just have to accept that your "not so new car" isn't going to have the latest and greatest tech. My 2006 RL is a fine car and actually drives better and feels more solid than my 2016 ILX. But the tech is ancient.

It's marketing. If you could put the newest, coolest stuff in your old car, you wouldn't buy a new one. It's called planned obsolescence.
