..and yet another Receiver thread...

Looking to pick up a Yamaha RX-V663.

http://www.yamaha.com/yec/products/p...1&CTID=5000300

I don't need HD Radio, 2 HDMI inputs are enough for me, 95w plenty for me, don't need bluetooth.

Thoughts?

I've been seeing this one on sale through techbargains.com

Only reason I didnt mention it to you was because I figured you'd want more then 2 HDMI. If you think 2 inputs is enough then do it. I guess you can always gets a switcher in the future if you need it.

My thoughts exactly. I thought about more hdmi inputs, but I should be fine for now...a switch can come later.

Then go for it

I went with the 1800 because I wanted the inputs. I'm currently using 3/4 hdmis...and the 4th will get used whenever I get an apple TV.

I have no receiver advice to offer.

But I do want to commend you for stating the make and model number of the poduct you're asking about instead of just posting a link to it on a store. It irritates me to no end when people do that.

BTW My Yamaha is all hooked up!

In a word: Impressed!

The mic setup speaker detection was flawless.

Consider me a new convert....I have been converted to the Yamaha sound.

Nice to hear dude. I was going to ask you about that since you said you got the remote.

Glad you happy with it!

I cant wait to hopefully get new speakers in Nov. to really take advantage of the new receiver.
