Great place but prepare to spend some good time there in order to get yourself set up and understanding what products are out there. I spent a year before we built our house researching our HT. Now, I'm back after a 2 year layoff and it's like I was never there b/c technology changes so quickly and there is so much information/variables to wade through.

Good luck though!

Another forum that is more for the average Joe is www.soundandvisionmag.com/forums Same kinds of information- just not as technical. Although not as much traffic as over on avs.

It's not for me. Someone I know needs to be schooll'd in HT.
I used to subscribe to sound & vision, Actually I stopped it when they changed over from stereo review. Never liked the new mag & format.

Another good forum is AVForums. Its based in England though so you'll get a more eurocentric point of view.

I had a senior vice president of my company tell me that he saw my posts on avsforum. I had no idea he was there. It kind of freaked me out for a minute, but I don't act like an ass over there. Here on the other hand...
