TV for gaming, current offer going on....

I was interested in picking up a TV for gaming because right now CC has a no interest financing offer until September 2008 and also you can get a free 8GB Sansa MP3 player too. Not too sure if you'll get both to be honest.... I'll find out.

The TVs I'm looking at are here:

Circuit City

So, from this list, it HAS to be 1080p, suitable for gaming, and preferably a Samsung. LCD monitors that have a 2ms response time but some of the LCD TVs have a 8ms response time.... whats up with that?

If anyone has a suggestion or a better deal going on at another place LMK.... yunginTL you wanna chime in? I've only been with CC for a month, think they'll give me the employee discount with no interest until 2008 and the free MP3 player? Or which ones will I get?

Another thing... I work part time, and I'll be applying for credit, but its gonna be the first credit card I'll have without a cosigner. Probably gonna have a limit of like $500, but whatever it is, its not gonna be close to what I need for the TV. If I get the TV under my mom's credit card will I still be eligible for employee discount (if any) if I'm present at the time of purchase?

I can't answer which TV to get, but I can say that I got my own CC from Wachovia and my limit starting out was $2000, it is not at $3000. This was directly for me and did not have anyone cosign it and I had no previous CC.

CC = credit card or Circuit City?

IMO, this is the best set out there: Samsung 46" LCD model 4661F. Circuit City has it for $2800, Amazon for $2330.

u cant do promotional financing with a CC credit card and employee sale; its basically one or the other. I ended up gettin my tv by sellin someone a 40 in. the next day; they exchanged for the 46 and i purchased the 40in they returned as an open box, and had my manager hook it up on the price, therefore it wasn't an employee sale and i did the no interest financing and now its PAID OFFFF, probably the biggest purchase I made besides the car.

why don't you look at the sony tvs, we get phat discounts on them...go with the 40 xbr2 comes out cheap as hellll.

If you're applyin for credit at circuit city, good luck, i had my cousin apply and i cosigned for 6 grand, you wont get anything by urself especially since you dont have established credit.

If your managers are nice get someone to buy it and return it, (preferably a 4065f) tell him to hook it up as an open box at cost lol, beat the system. Buying a new one at employee cost is a ripoff...open box or direct manufacturer discounts like the sony is the way to go.

How noticeable will it be w/ a 8ms vs. 2ms? Will there be a lot of lag w/ the 8ms?

I am looking at getting this TV, so I am hoping there won't be a problem w/ the response time:

or this one (I currently have the non-1080P version of this TV so I don't know if I want another rear projection):

Which one would yall get?

Not to hijack this thread.. but I'm looking for a 40"+ if possible for around $1500? Is it even worth looking for one around this price? I'm getting the Elite so I'd want a tv that would work well with that. Thanks!
