Time for a new TV

With BB offering 0% financing for four years, I have decided to get a new TV for the family room. Seeing as I already have a 60" SXRD in the theater room, I am not looking for anything extrordinary, just something nice. I am looking for around a 42", under $2k, TV.

Looking on BB's site, and reading around here, it seems like the Samsung HL-S4266W is a good choice. Reading on Epinions, it seems like the Panasonic TH-42PX60U is also a popular TV.

What do y'all think about the above? Any others that I should look at? For reference, this TV will be used for watching the news, general TV programming, and the ocassional movie.

i believe that's older model from Samsung. Not sure if that bother you any but newer one had black frame all the way around and IMO it looks much better.

The Panasonic TH-42PX60U=crap. If you wish to look at a panasonic, I would stick to the TH-42PX600u, better image quality. Are there any particular specifics that you require? Plasma vs DLP vs LCD? Hang on a wall or just gonna go on a stand? Need a little more info to really give an opinion on what may be best.

The only real specs that I want are size and image quality. DLP, LCD, Plasma-doesn't matter-just looking for image quality. It is going to go on a stand that I already have, so that is not a factor.
