anyone who's considering a new sub, or are unsatisfied with their existing one, should strongly take a look at http://www.svsound.com/.

i've had mine (20-39PCi) for a little over a year and i am thoroughly pleased. and, the PCi is just their entry level lineup. i've had quite a few subs before, some costing more than this one, and there is no comparison in this price range...NONE.

just wanted to share, caught a flick last night, and i was as giddy as always.

Add Hsu onto your list as well. They and SVS are definitely two of the most well respected online sub retailers. I've had a Hsu STF-3 for almost 2 years and love it. I barely have the thing turned on and it shakes the house. My wife, however, does not share the same opinion of it....

How good do those cylindrical ones look sitting in a living room? I can probably get away with a nice box sub because it will look like furniture. Will the cylindrical pass the WAF? pics of sub in room?

i picked it up in secrecy after work one day. ended up coming home later than norm, and she was suspicious, jokingly asked if i went out on a date. i told her i bought a subwoofer (had mentioned i was going to do it). it sat in the corner of our entertainment room for a few weeks and she never noticed it. one day she asked if i was lying about the night i picked up the sub cause she didn't see the new one.

i'll post up some pics later tonight so that you can see how oblivious she can be sometimes...yes, it's that prominent.

Did you buy it at a store or buy direct? The website says nothing about dealers.

you can only buy it direct, unless you find it used somewhere. i picked mine up from a UPS location since i wasn't home when they attempted delivery.

He has two CS Ultras.

I have the 20-39 PC Plus and it's amazing. I got it used for $675 shipped. I have a huge family room and this thing fills it all.

Funny fake out the wife sub story:
We were building a new house and I was using the great room for our tv room- 50 inch plasma, in wall speakers, etc. Well, I wanted to replace my Best Buy JBL sub so I ordered my Hsu sub. I made sure that I was home before my wife to get the box- dragged the big/heavy box down to my neighbors to "store" for 5 months until our house was done. When we moved into the new house, I took the opportunity to move in the new sub while my wife was barking orders to the movers. When she saw the big black box in the great room, she asked what it was and promptly told me to return it b/c it was "ugly and too big". Unfortunately it was beyond the return period so the sub stayed. 2 years later and she still makes comments every so often about how the sub is too much for our room and hurts her ears.....

For those of you who have owned a cylinder for awhile, does the cloth get dusty? How do you keep it clean?

Haven't notice mine getting dusty at all. If it did, maybe vacuum?

What kind of interconnect cable did you guys use for these subs? Anything fancy or just run of the mill RCA cable?

My wife approved the 25-31 PCi.
The others she said were too big. LOL wait until she sees how big the "little one" is.

My wife just called up complaining about the size of a box sitting on our porch. Can divorce court be far behind? Stay tuned for a new thread in D&R

My wife made me put the sub in the back of the living room. So after fishing a couple of walls, I finally got the sub fired up yesterday and all I can say is "WOW!"
