Subwoofers

We recently installed a movie theater in our house. We purchased 2 individual subwoofers. We have a Onkyo reciever http://www.atlantictechnology.com/Up..._sb_manual.pdf

That is the manual for it. I am trying to figure out exactly how to hook these 2 up with my reciever. Does each take 1 sub x cord? Do i need 2 sub x cords per each subwoofer? Do i need to run wires from one subwoofer to the other? Any help would be great. Thanks

Most subs typically only need one cable. According to your manual you need to hook up one cable from the output of your Onkyo to the input of the first sub. Then, you need to run a cable from the output of your first sub to the input of your second sub. So two cables should do it.

For movie purposes, is there any current content that actually has stereo LFE?

I don't believe there is, and in theory, you shouldn't need such a setup. The low frequencies that dedicated subwoofers are meant to reproduce aren't supposed to be localized, meaning you shouldn't be able to tell where the bass is coming from. This is why some people place their subs under a table or behind a couch, to keep it out of sight. Sub placement is important, though. You can definitely affect the sound characteristics of your sub based on its location and how the sound waves are reflecting off the wall. A corner is typically where most subs perform best.

If at least one of the subs has an output, you can run it directly to the second sub. I did that with my two subs in my living room, just to try it out and it rumbled the whole house, the garage door was vibrating!

on my onkyo 875, I used the pre-amp output for the sub, hooked it up to one powered sub, then took the output from that and put it into the other. OR you could take the amplified output, hook it up to a Y cable, then send it to both, and run the auddsey setup.

Depends, does the receiver have two sub outs? If not, you'll just need a Y-adapter. Then that's it.
