rgb cable?

i have a new 32" lcd and my main computer both in my bedroom. i have some movies on my external hard drive that i want to watch on my LCD and someone told me in order to watch the picture from your monitor on your LCD, youre going to need an RGB cable. but when i checked online, there were a lot of different kinds of RGB cables.

can anyone tell me what i would need?
i was looking for this cable on www.monoprice.com forever and cant get a general idea

i dont know what DVI is.
i have this TV.
http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/produ....do?oid=163702

going by the description from the link, it says that my LCD does not have DVI.
judging by the specifications of my TV, what would provide me with the best quality picture from my computer to my LCD?

I never understood this logic, especially as it takes all of 10 seconds to swap out the HDMI plug.
