Recommend the best "Bose-like" setup?
Thinking of departing with my excellent PSB speakers (http://www.psbspeakers.com/products/Image-Series) and going more satellite-based...
Obviously, Bose comes to mind due to their excellent marketing. I grew up with Bose and they're OK, nothing earth-shattering.
Looking for the best Bose-like setup. Certainly need to be wall-mounted. Combination of TV, Blu-Ray and music... 85% TV, however.
No budget limitations. Could spring for the $999 Acoustimass® 10 setup if that was really the way to go. But I'm thinking there are better options out there.

i recently started searching for audio setups and can't get over the way B&W sounds and looks.. i'm sure for the money you pay, you can get comparable sound at tad bit cheaper, but the way it looks, i don't mind paying extra 10~20% premium for the name
their mini theatre line up is quite good, but need to splurge extra for the sub as the line up is not in a package (ie you need to buy 5 satellites and 1 sub)
rough estimate for 5.1 setup would be about 2000 depends on which sub you go with

if you handhold the satellites, they are very sturdy and weigh more than you would expect and pretty nice built quality
personally, i went with 2.1 setup as i really don't think i would benefit much on 5.1 setup and can live with 2.1 for the time being and went with CM5 + ASW10CM from B&W

Energy gets great reviews for both the Take Classics and Micros.

Scrib, you may want to check out Phase Technology speakers at http://www.phasetech.com/
Their flush mount in-wall stuff is here: http://www.phasetech.com/flushmount.html
Bill Hecht, the founder, patented the soft dome tweeter, among other seemingly basic speaker concepts nowadays. Really great products, made in the US and a great bang for the buck IMO. Definitely worth listening to if you can.
