When it's plugged into DC power(like a car) & it charges, It says "fully charged" with the battery pic. Is the Ipod still on at this point, or is it off? Is it still sucking down juice to display this message?

 

i hav had 2 experiences with this.....

when i plug it @ night and it says this, it is off - it is using a little electricty from the dc power to produce the image

i had to DJ a dance last nite and i used my ipod while it was charged - and when i went to change a song, sometimes it showed the screen

however, i set the backlight to always on - it just used the dc power
