question for the IPOD experts

I'm trying to find a way to transfer files from my ipod to my hard drive. i had my girl put some of her music on there and since i dont have it on my hard drive i was wondering if there was a way to transfer them. anyone have an idea on how i can do this?

If you enable ipod disk use in itunes, and select 'show hidden files and folders' in windows explorer, you can get to the songs to copy them back to your hard drive.

There are also tons of third party apps that you can buy to do it.
