However, CR reports nationwide based on thousands of survey responses. Again, they are not the end all be all, but I trust the results of those surveys which cover a very broad spectrum of thousands of users to what the local chain store tells me... b/c you ask 3 stores, you get 3 different answers.

Ya, with Avia make sure they include the Red, Green and Blue color filters. (these are colored transparent pieces of plastic) You use them to get color down correctly. Without these your missing a lot of the calibration.
(although, I have read the red/green filters are not 100% accurate they working better than nothing)
