Sharp Aquos arent really that good. You can read all the complaint on AVS Forum. One more month to go until the crazy thanksgiving day sale. Are you only using it to play the PS3/Xbox360? Where will you put the TV?

Some people cant tell the difference between DVD & HD-DVD.
But that's OK! The newer Bravia are great, but very pricey. If you are going for LCD, you might want to get the 120hz one. It all depend on where the TV will be put and how you plan to use before we can give you any suggestion.

Big improvements over the 2 and 3 IMHO, but you cannot use the word cheap and sony in the same sentence.
I can personally vouch for Sharp just not cutting it when compared to Samsung. I watched a 32" and I found more artifacts and poorer resolution on this set than my 46" Samsung. However, a Sharp is a big step up from non HD content, so it's really all relative.
I always thought these were good sister sites for your research. I don't know what's good on the market today, but I read up on these sites to buy my sony 40" LCD about a year and a half ago.

They also helped me calibrate my tv optimum picture quality. I found a review they had on my TV (the 46" version though) and they posted the settings they used. I copied them, and found the picture to be much more realistic than the default factory settings.
