What kinda sub? How much power do you need, like 150 watts or like 800? Could you install a piggy back amp onto the sub cabinet or would you rather have stand alone?

You can buy an entry level home theater sub for $300...

well this is for a outdoor setup, and i'd rather have it powered inside and have wires run to the sub outside.. i'm looking for decent sound so maybe 200-300 watts?

I can't think of any stand alone amp that has a low pass filter built in. Does your reciever not have a sub out?

You live in Beverly Hills? Think your neighbors will like you for having a subwoofer and playing music that loud outside?
