I have the same remote, and love it.

Still, at $122.50, that's still a little pricey.

I have to and love it.

Recently, the remote lcd has developed a burn-in effect. Contacted support.

I know lcds don't have burn-ins.

I've had one for about 2.5 years now without any problems... I bought it way back when it was like $200 but I agree with moog - I've seen it as low as $95 on special at some places in the past year.

The only thing you'll hate about this remote is the programming - but you only do that once (or when you buy a new piece of gear). The Logitech software has been improved since I bought it, and it's a little easier now, but plan on spending an hour or two going through all the menus, programming the remote and then tweaking the delays and personalizing the menus.

When I have guests they pick it up and figure out how to use it within seconds. Try that with 5 separate remotes!

I've got the 890 and love it, it's pretty much the same plus RF/z-wave. I've seen the 880 for $80 somewhere, but I'm sure that deal is long gone.

If at all possible, I'd recommend trying to find someone with a Harmony and play around with it on their system. I'm apparently one of the 1 in 10,000 people that has the mutant anti-Harmony gene. I've had a One for about four months now and using it is still like finger nails on a blackboard to me.

Got it shipped for $99.00, less than a good bottle of wine. Now if Sony will just drop the price of their XBR8 LCDs, I will be a happy man.

and still can't get it to play nice with my Yamaha receiver, DVD, Sony TV and R-10 DVR. Works once, then nothing? Been a long day, I will try it again tomorrow. I am usually everyone's go to guy with electronics, but this is driving me nuts. May be there 2 in 10,000.

FWIW Dan, you can read my gripes about the Harmony and the ensuing suggestions and comments starting about 3/4 of the way down this page in the toy thread.

Strange.....I've set up a few harmony remotes...from 880 to one.

Never had any issues that couldn't be resloved quickly.

What issues are you having?

Refuses to do a one button start up if the Yamaha DVD player is involved. Life's too short for this aggravation, it's going back tomorrow.

Never encountered that.

I have a Yamaha receiver and DVD player....both work well with Harmony.

Did you try taking your Yamaha remote and forcing the Harmony to learn the "power on" command via the aiming it at the Harmony remote process?

I just got a Harmony One the other day. It's okay. It reduces the clutter which is nice, but stuff is scattered around my appt, so sometimes the components don't always pick up the RF signals. So then i need to go to help.....and so on until it turns it on. Also some other strange things like playing xbox....i want the remote to set up the TV and audio properly, but I don't want it to start up/shut down the xbox, becuase I just do that with the controllers. But overall its nice. Still getting used to it
