Window Question
The window in our bathroom is clear. Without needing to replace the entire window, is there anything we can do to give it that glazed or frosted look?
Cover it with about 100 "etched glass" Acurazine stickers
Actually, I think there are some "etched glass" spray paints. Just make sure you test it out on something first.

A search just turned up etching gream:

Krylon makes a spray paint that is good for faking an etched or frosted glass look in a hurry. They also carry colored glass spray. To cover a fairly large surface in a hurry this may be your best option, as spray goes on more smoothly than does brushing. And brush marks can be very obvious in glass paint if you aren't careful.

Thanks for the info man! I had heard about the paint method. Didn't know if it I should go that route or not. But after reading that comment, it makes sense to try the paint method.

I'll leave the stickers for the
members that keep asking for them.

Checkout homedepot.com and search for window film. Here's what I found:

there's a trick to putting on the sticky film to avoid air bubbles. If you can, remove the window from the casing and lay it down on a table to work on.
cut your sheet slightly oversize
peel back the film from the backer sheet so that 1/2" shows
stick the exposed part to the top of the window, and then slowly slowly pull the backer sheet out from under the film, smoothing it from the centre outwards.
Use a new #11 exacto blade to trim.
Or, get the spray on stuff!

Go with the frosted window film that you can purchase at Lowes or Home Depot.
Very easy to install. I have done it on a couple of windows, and it was easy, & turned out great with no bubbles or creases.
EDIT: The film is not sticky. It uses a spray on wet application that is very simple...if you screw up, it's easy to re-apply until you get it right...so long as you keep spraying it and keep it wet.
