Moving into a new house, builder used brass door knobs and hinges, they wanted $2200 for stainless. I figured I could buy the hardware and install it myself for cheaper. Any place I can buy interior stainless door knobs and hinges in bulk? I looked at Menards and Home Depot and didn't see any bulk offerings.

 

what i did was look for the style i wanted for my dresser and went on the net with the model # or brand etc, lowes was $4, local hardware store was 1.19 and teh net was .89

 

well this isn't for a dresser, these are for all the doors in the house, to bedrooms, closets and such...

 

check online with the model #'s you may be surprised

 

Know anybody who knows somebody in the business? On an unrelated, but similar note, my sister's friend owns a furniture store and he was able to hook us up with discounts from furniture from the factory (good furniture, not the stuff you find at outlets either) at dealer's prices. Maybe they can help. Or at least point you in the direction you need.

 

$2200?? how many fucking doors do you have in your house??

 

22 I think if I counted right. The price includes the railing supports being stainless, the hinges and any door stoppers to be stainless as well. $2200 is steep, thats why I told them to put the standard crap (polished brass) and I would change them out myself.

Its a 4 bedroom, 4 full bath, and 3-car garage home. 3600 sq ft
