Thumbs up Washing house exterior - Bleach, water & dawn ftw

My girlfriend has been renting this house for a little over 3 years and it had never washed. The gutters were a horrid black/green and the house was brown when the true color is more of a red. I washed the outside of the gutters weekend before last but didn't take any before and afters. However, I did for the house this past weekend and I was amazed and proud of the results I got. I mixed 1 gallon of bleach with 4 gallons of water in a 5 gallon bucket with a shot of dawn dish detergent to help prevent window streaking. I applied the mixture with a weed killer pressure pump bottle(sorry don't know the real name of those things). I let the chemical soak for 3 to 5 mins and then sprayed it off with a pressure washer. It also helped that it was a cloudy day so the chemical never dried on the paint. Also, I hit the back steps with just the pressure washer. Anyway, check'em out

Nicely done!! For some reason, the house reminds me of the ones in those fairy tales. Like "the little red house in the middle of the woods" type stories. hahah

Very nice!

Lucky for us our house isn't dirty... b/c with Stage 3 water restrictions, we can't use any outside water for anything...

Mecklenburg County

I'm going to be doing a little more pressure washing work around there soon. She has a brick walkway in front as well that needs to be done and the wood posts for the fenced in area in the back.

Believe it or not, she lives in town with neighbors a stones throw away on both sides but I just realized the photos make it look like its off the beaten path. haha.
