Urbanization

Got a good ol letter today that they were going to start "Urbanization" to my neighborhood this summer. Some neighbors are pissed some are happy like my self. We are getting rid of the ditches in favor of curb and gutter. I myself am happy because i have a nice speed bump at the end of my driveway. Total cost (on average for most home owners) is 4600 bucks. which to me is cheap since i looked into having my speed bump redone last summer (glad i didnt go thru with it) and it was going to cost almost 6k. A little warrning would have been nice but oh well, i knew it was coming.Whats going to suck is the neighbor hood will be a complete mess all summer. Which means no clean car

Any one else go thru something similar?

Sounds like you'll have big trucks blocking your driveway for several months and drivers who'll tell you to fuck off when you complain.

They have done that a few times out here, usually the results are well worth the inconveniences. Be friendly to the construction workers, they will be more caring about your driveway and easier to deal with, buy them donuts once a month or something like that and they will be your friend.
