(iPhone pics beware)

Looks pretty good -- one tip: try to find plain sawn plywood instead of the rotary cut stuff. The wood grain looks like solid wood instead of being an obvious veneer with the grain patterns you'd never see in the wild.

You can find it at hardwood dealers. Most of the stuff at big boxes is going to be rotary cut.

I take it you built this at your dad's place and didn't spend $$$$$$ on all those tools right away?

and I didn't spend all the money on tools. His place is maybe 5 minutes from mine so it's pretty convenient.

Apparently Jonesi doesn't like to give credit where credit is due. See that clamp at the top of the picture. Yeah... I installed that.

I'll have more up after work with the computer, monitors etc all set up.

The bottom left rack you see is for the Cable box, dvd player and surround sound.

Are you going to run the cabling to/from your TV through the wall? I think that'd make it look even better.

With the monitors there there's less than a foot of exposed area. Not worth it IMO. Atleast not right now, I have a thousand other things I want to do.

More pics to come here shortly..

Much improved Jonesi.
I see that Pops has a router did you consider using it? When I was a kid, I tripped and caught a sharp edge like that with my chin.
Regardless, resolve the cable management issue and you're good to go. A simple wire loom should do the trick.
