Type of Tiles?

I've done some research and I've found conflicting answers from different sites. I've read that ceramic tiles are the best for the bathroom, and then I read that slate is good for bathrooms.

I plan on doing my bathroom floor, but don't know what type of tile to use! Any suggestions/experience/problems?

Ceramic give you much more of a selection to choose from. Slate can be nice, depending on what kind. I've seen some a nice slate (think large brick) remodel on some HGTV type show. They used two different colors, each for different areas (i.e. not mixed) and it looked incredible.

Something like this

I'm not too keen on the multi-colored slate, especially since they're typically very uneven.

Yeah I've found a nice ceramic one, so I'll probably go with that. The house will be mine in 40 hours

We just put travertine tiles in our new house. We used slate for the entryway. I'll take a few pics tomorrow and post them if you're interested.
