Arrrghh!!!
I have thistles all over my lawn. Today I probably about 50 rosettes in 1500sq ft of lawn. I tried burning them out with a propane torch - they come back in 2 days. I have pulled them, but because they have a creeping root system one will pop up a few inches away in a few days. These buggers are fast growing and I can't keep ahead of them. It sucks because my baby girl loves toddling around the lawn in bare feet and these things hurt to step on.

The province of Ontario has pretty much banned the use of pesticides for anything but golf courses.

Does anyone have any experience dealing with thistles?
