Day 87 - October 24th 2012 - Stains
The finished all the trim work and cabinetry and started staining them. I could only grab a couple of pictures as it stinks inside the house and I didnt want to be there inhaling everything for long....
We went with darker stains and hardwood and contrasted it with lighter wall paint, granite tops and backsplash....lets see how it comes out....
Here are the pix:
hutch in dining room:
exhaust and kitchen cabinets
island
stair pillars
zoomed out

Anil, we can do yours, but I think mine is a lost cause. My floor has a lot of repairs that will need to be done to it before we could do this to my garage. There are cracks, divits and lots of other blemishes that need to be done first. That's why I opted for the floor mat that is currently on it!
By the way, outstanding updated pictures.

For the kitchen we ended up getting granite countertops and they are going to be very light (Giallo Original)....and for the baths we went with Crushed Marble tops (they looked good and were cheap )
Thanks for the complement

its something in the lines of this....but rather than having a beige/brown shade to it, it has a whitish, more clear shade to it....

Damn, didn't think it was that expensive. Well the good thing about it is that you can take it with you when you move. Unlike spending the money to refinish your garage floor and then moving.

Not only do you live about 2 blocks from me, but we also have the same granite...here's a link to my home thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=868711
haha seemed liked it was a popular choice and in the "group"....we asked for a quote for a different granite and it was upwards of 4 grand LOL....
eager to see your house bro....post some pix up

Make sure to seal that granite. Darker granites often don't need it but a lighter granite will.
The Dupont stuff is awesome.

Didn't use that product, but a similar product in my previous home. It pulled up within two years.
Hope it works for you.
