^Oh yea, another home tool... spot/flood lights!

IMO, even in good daylight when painting, still use a light.

1000 watts or more

^^^ Chad...I dont think I will be getting a flood light....i just dont see the need/use for it...

the tools so far which I have shortlisted are:

Gas Powered Lawn Mower
Electric Powered Trimmer and a good drill (my B&D Drill is dying on me) - Ryobi seems like a big contender here
Dremel (I have a battery powered one and a cord one). Time to sell the battery powered one

about lights in the garage, am thinking of replace the 3 tiny energy saving bulbs with 3 dual fluorescence light tubes....one will be wired in....so when you flip the switch, you will turn the center light on....other 2 dual tubes will be wired to a separate switch....more light in the garage and will be kinda energy efficient as well

Snow blower is on the list of wants and not needs. I can get a good workout from pushing the now off the driveway and the walkway....
Pressure washer is also on the same list

More on the other thread

There will be a need one day....especially if you have any painting to do.

$35 - http://www.lowes.com/pd_394366-40642...ght&facetInfo=

Also for the drill, a Dewalt lithium ion is the way to go!

http://www.samsclub.com/sams/ultra-h....ip?navAction=

and 2 of these to go on top
http://www.samsclub.com/sams/ultra-h....ip?navAction=

i might buy/make a rack down the line depending on my needs

is that a good price....do i look elsewhere?

Too much.. Home Depot has HDX 1000W stand for 16 right now. I bought a couple single 500W for auto work since I can fit it underneath and sit it on top. It was only $6.

Anil, if you go with Lithium power tools.. check out the whole lineup. We're talking saws, drills, blowers, trimmers, even vacuums.. pick the highest rated line at the best value. Also check on battery life and if they are interchangeable with NiCd. Usually the Lithiums will be quite expensive, so it's always good to have a few good NiCd's as backups to finish the job.

All of the stuff I've, or my family, has bought from Sams like that has been very durable products. So I'm sure that'll work...

And yea, shop around. I think I paid less then $20 for those lights a few months ago on sale. I'm just saying, there will be a day soon you'll want a good portable light source like that. Lol

Toolbox? Oh..

Depends on what you're using it for. I have a roller that I use quite a bit. I also have these old school steel toolboxes that I bought from a Motorola plant that was shutting down.. love them.

I don't own a chest. The sams stuff looks good.. but pricey. HF usually has good deals. In fact they have a roller that I use on sale right now:

Use coupon code 77981586 to knock it down to $99.. plus I saw a link to 20% off your order floating online.

http://www.harborfreight.com/580-lb-capacity-four-drawer-tool-cart-95659.html?ccdenc=eyJjb2RlIjoiNzc1MTE5ODYiLCJza3Ui OiI5NTY1OSIsImlzIjoiOTkuOTkiLCJwcm9kdWN0X2lk%0D%0A IjoiMzI1OSJ9%0D%0A

I also have a steel wire frame rack that I stow my auto stuff on. I'd love to have a workbench but I don't have enough space for a proper one. I you get that chop block workbench, make sure it's wide enough.. it looks a bit thin.. good for small garages.. but you have the space, so use it.

small.. you crazy.. lol.

I like it because it's easy to roll around when I'm doing a big job (I hate having to go back and forth for things). My only problem is it's always a fucking mess and disorganized.. but the garage looks neat.. and I push it in the corner away from everything when I'm done.

I might just hit up HF and buy that....i like having racks so I can put my cleaning supplies/oil/etc on there...

saw that the racks were available for 15bucks...might just grab them before they are gone....

btw next up is epoxy....i do see some very slight cracks in the garage floor due to the house settling in and i am hoping no more will develop but want to make sure the epoxy will not tear if that happens....

That's a very nice garage! So will it be your mancave?, or is another room of your house already designated for that?

Steve, when we went to Home Depot, we ended up picking only 1 gallon of paint and 1 gallon of primer....I used a total of 3 gallons of paint and 3 gallons of primer....Primer was 1 coat and i did 2 coats of paint....Since the paint was water based, I did add a little bit of distilled water to it....Also, I added water only because I had decided to do 2 coats...

Primer was $17 a gallon
Paint was $30 a gallon
Other stuff was $50

Total = $191 + tax

The builder wanted $850 for the same job LOL....
