My sheetrock guys ( and ) can't get their act together tho' ...

The sheetrock won't sit on the floor directly. There's like a good 10" of a "foundation lip", so it'll never sit in water. Some water here and there won't hurt it. Especially painted.
You can always use cheap formica over the rock on the lower half...

you coula also use moisture resistant drywall (WS Sheetrock) for bathrooms. I have it as backerboard for the ceramic tiles in my shower. I think in the US it might also be called cement board?

LOL, I had green board, but then changed it to cement board thinking that was a word.

There's greenboard, regular sheetrock (blueboard??), concrete backerboard (used behind tile)... etc. etc... That whole drywall/gypsum thing always confuses me...

This is the plastic liner(like formica) that can be put over drywall & is water-proof.

It's like installing a shower enclosure in your garage.

Way cheaper/easier to work with than cement board or any of the alternatives.
