Small outdoor project
Saw something similar when we were out in Lancaster, PA.
It's an old pump. Make some brackets to hold the mailbox.
Have to pour a concrete footing and set bolts to mount this puppy. It weighs a ton.
Still have to paint the brackets to match a d replace the bolt on top with a smaller one.

I put in a new mailbox last year myself. Most of them in our neighborhood are the cheap-o wood type. I assume those are what the builder installed. And those who have "upgraded" mostly went with the god awful plastic mailboxes.
I went with the all metal post and mailbox. Glossy black. It's solid as a rock and looks very classy.

Same here. I can't stand those things. And for some reason it drives me nuts that the lady down the street actually drives down to check her mail. Its like 6 houses!
