Silverfish?

Anybody else got these annoying little fuckers? We were out of town for a solid 8 days right at the peak of their mating season so they've grabbed the upper hand....for now. I just killed probably 12 of the little bastards, some of them juveniles and the rest of them were sexually active adults. One actually committed suicide by slipping into the toilet for a drink...I found that very entertaining. I just swept the main floor and upper level and found at least one in all but one room. I've nailed four in the kitchen alone! They are nocturnal but unfortunately for them, so am I. :devilgrin

Mom refuses to have the house fumigated so our only real option is to keep their numbers down. I did some reading and found that silverfish have a very short span in which they can reproduce so if you knock X number out of the count, you'll have a much more manageable number. We were actually doing very well for a while; so well in fact that none of us saw any for about a year!

I had a few of them when I first moved in, but not anymore. Thank you Massey for getting rid of them and the spiders....

Disgusting. I hate those fricking things. I saw one in my parents' garage last night. They are in the basement, as well. Fast little buggers.

We have them though not as bad as they were last year and the first part or this year. I sprayed some bayer stuff around the door ways and the garage and it seemed to help: it also seemed help get rid of the spiders too.

I hate (scared of) silver fish and spiders! I can't even stand to kill them so usually I just catch them and let them outside far from my house.

Haven't seen them in my house. Of course, in the Florida heat we're experiencing now, they would spontaneously combust if they got outside.

We had the house sprayed for ants about two months ago. The guy told my wife that the only way to get close to getting rid of Silverfish was to bug bomb the whole house. With that they still couldn't guarantee that would get rid of them.

They live/layeggs in the drywall and insulation of the home.

Yes. They seem to really like bathrooms, too. I've had a few kill themselves by getting into the toilet & bath tub.

Yes. Spiders don't bug me, but I go ape-shit and chase those little fuckers down whenever I see them.

Try keeping the bathroom door open when its not in use. If you have a window in there then open it so sunlight comes in.

They live off the moisture and dark areas.
