Rust-oleum garage floor paint

Rust-oleum garage floor paint
Just fininshed mine about a week ago. Picked it up at menards for like 49 dollars for a single car garage. I have a three car and did one stall at a time. I used a pressure washer to clean first then I used the cleaner that comes with the two part paint kit. First stall I did, I did'nt put it on thick enough. I had enough left over to paint the gas walls in the other part of the garage. Turned out pretty nice any way. You paint a 4x4 area and then spread speckles over that. I found the more sprinkles I put down the better I thought it looked. The second and third stalls I did, I put the paint on thicker and still had paint left over. I also had speckles left over.
Weather conditions play a roll here. There is a temp range they want you to paint within. Its about 24 hours before foot traffic is suggested and 7 days to park on it depending on weather conditions. I would suggest waiting as long as you can before parking on it.
Here's a link to their some what lame/usefull web site.

and a few pics of my floor.
.
There are other more expensive kits out there but price is what made me go for this brand..... Of course it was on sale to.
I love the look and the ease to clean up oil as well as other spills.
Now we shall see how long the finish will last..

That's what I want to know. This is on my project list for next spring. Our garage is finished, painted, and even has base molding.... so I think it will look hot when the floor is finished... but I don't want to have to redo it every year.

One kit can do about 300 sq ft.
Make sure whatever you get, it's an epoxy.

Roll the epoxy on the floor and throw the confetti on the wet epoxy.

Is it slippery when wet? We have to worry about snow up here. When I got my house, I did concrete stain which leaves the surface a little rough so you don't slide thru the back wall. It needs to be re-done after 16 years though and yours looks super.

I figured someone would say something and I could get another post out of it.
And last but not least I thought if the mods did'nt like it where it was that they would move it to the proper place.
I am very surprised some one did'nt say this is a repost Yet. I don't know if it is or not.
Thats a nice fury you have by the way. what engine is in it??

Like any wet surface you will need to be carefull. The floor has been wet a few times and my car has never lost traction or slid.
I should have added an aggregate to the epoxy.
But now that I'm sensitive to it, it's not that bad. It's really based on the shoes you wear.
