The room is toooo hot

There is one room in my house that gets way too hot in the summer . It is in the second floor, but the strange thing is that every room in the same floor is about 10 degrees cooler . Any idea why ??

big windows? bad insulation? my old master bedroom had large windows and a vaulted ceiling (which i think it was insulated as a regular ceiling) and it was always much warmer in the summer.

Does it face West? Afternoon sun will do that. Also, your vent can have blockage. An A/C man or home inspector can test it.

Good suggestions. How old is the house?

Insulation - find a hot wall and drill a small hole in it way down by the floor moulding behind a door (so it's less likely to be seen). Bend a small piece of wire into a hook and pop it through the wall and see if you pull out any insulation.

Do you have central air? Are there AC vents in that room? Are you getting any air coming out of the vents.

Do you have window treatments on the windows. Try hanging a white sheet over the windows and see if it gets cooler.

There are two windows in that room they are not that big . There is an AC vent and is working properly , the problem is the rest of the house is freezing while that room still hot , lol . I ll check on the insulation . Thanks for the advice .
