Question Recommended cleaner for shower?

Does anyone have a product they swear by when it comes to cleaning the shower - in particular the white floor tray? I don't mind scrubbing if hard water and soap builds up, but are there any products that you have found to really make the job easier? I know, I know, clean it more often and I should, but I have slacked. And no, there is nothing there other than soap and hard water.

Thanks guys

Tilex Mold & Mildew remover:
http://www.tilex.com/mold.html

Even if you don't have mold or mildew, that thing is so f'ing strong that you just spray it liberally, walk away, then rinse it down and soap scum, mildew, and everything in between will be gone.

One downside: If you don't walk away, it will burn your nasal passages and leave your throat irritated for at least a whole day. Oh and if it gets on your skin and you don't wash it off fast (and it doesn't wash off easily), it will burn a little.

make sure to turn on the exhaust fan. Also, don't get the "gel" stuff, it sucks.

He said tray. Probably a fiberglass shower pan?

Anyone have a good recommendation on a colored tile grout cleaner?

Ive used CLR in the past to clean the floor tray it takes a little bit of scrubbing to get it looking real good . Also the magic eraser pads work well

I use the Scrub Free shower cleaner <can't remember the product/brand name>. It is a basic spray on wash off after 10 mins that I do twice a week to clean up the shower. It cleans up almost 80 - 90 % of visible marks in 1 application. This way I only need to do a total cleaning (scrubing, wiping and what not) job only 3 - 4 time a year to bring back to pristine status.

I use Tilex Soap Scum remover every time I clean, and Tilex Mold & Mildew Remover if I see mold/mildew building up on the grout.

I had baaaaad mildew/green&blackstuff buildup in my shower from the past... year or two. I just loaded a sponge with bleach and scrubbed the areas then 5 min later rinsed it off and it looked just like new

Yup, that stuff really works. But like others have said, it stinks of bleach. Oh and wear gloves and eye protection, when it gets on you and you try to wash is off it'll feel like soap and is slippery - that's your skin getting chemically 'burned off', same thing happens when you play with strong basic cleaning agents like lye (which is sodium hydroxide, a very strong base).

Keep the stuff away from kids.

My dad uses Muriatic Acid like once a year to really shine things up, the rest of the year it's CLR or tilex.

Tilexs work wonders, man. I literally sprayed it on some mildew spots (black colored) and left it overnight, then the next morning, everything was spotless, all the mildew spots were gone, and my bathroom smells like bleach, lol.

Tilex is your friend, especially if you use it everyday.

I was at the grocery store a while ago and saw Comet Gel cleaner for dirt cheap. It was like a buck a bottle or something. I figured, "hey, what the hell if it didn't work?"

I sprayed it on the tile walls and the tub, left it to do what it does and I was pretty impressed with it. I've been using it regularly since.

The only down side is that it stinks to high heavens of chlorine. But after one quick rinse, it's all but gone and left with a clean facility.

I think it's called Kaboom. It's nasty shit. You have to use gloves and a mask but it cleans some nasty fiberglass. It also seems to protect it pretty well.

When we moved into our place, we found out the contruction workers were using the shower. For what I have no clue, but it was nasty. This stuff took care of it.

Clorox Bleach Pen was the only thing I could use to get the shower really clean. It was a PITA to use, but it worked. I got two of them and cut them open and spread it out on the areas that I wanted to clean, let it sit for a little while took a scrubber to it and it was clean.

The Bleach Pens are gelled so the product stays were you put it.

For the tub/floor area...I wet it down and use comet. let it soak in for a few minutes and then scrub with a rough sponge.

CLR and scrubbing bubbles for the rest of the tub/shower areas.
