Polishing Aluminum

Figured this was the best place.

I have an Aluminum Plate with a matte/brushed finish. I want to get bring it to a polished finish.

What would the process be; what materials and tools and what order of use?

I've googled, but keep turning up how to clean and/or *shine* a polished metal (Aluminum/SS/Copper/Brass) instead of how to bring a metal from a partially finished state to a fully finished one.

TIA.

Some kind of rotary tool with a polishing disk. I can't be more specific as I've never used such, but I know that's what you need.

Yeah, that's about what I know too. If no one here has any advice, I'll have to rely on the "expertise" at Lowes.

PM RoyceHan, he's the guy who polished Eric's IM, and he's polished a few other things for other members. Maybe Eric has his e-mail. If you end up going to Lowe's, go during the day on a weekday; that's when the people who know what they're doing usually work.
