Rebuilt my gazebo
It's one of those Target put it together metal gazebos.
The previous owner left it up last winter and the snow caved it in. He left it for me to try to fix. The canopy wasn't salvageable.
Here's what it looked like. Almost all of the upper struts were caved in. I was able to save 2 of them.
Went to HD and bought 10' sections of 3/4" electrical conduit and here is the final result.
It so much sturdier than the ones that come with it. Since they have to ship the gazebo in a box, they make everything in ~4 ft pieces that click together. Those joints sag big time when the canopy is on.
Need to find better caps for the ends. Right now I'm using pvc screw on caps but they're a bit big. Trying to find some rubber feet that will fit.
Found a site that sells the replacement canopy. So for ~$125 I got a new canopy. We'll probably put it over by the house instead of on the court where it is now.
Next I gotta re-sheath and re-shingle that shed. The framing is in perfect shape, but the sheathing is falling apart and the shingles are original.

Yeah I'm loving the new house. Nothing "needs" to be done but we're trying to make it our house.
Should have pics of the workbench I'm building soon. Coming out better than expected.
Hopefully this inspires someone to pick up a hammer. I know reading the other threads in this forum keep me looking for new projects.

Nice. I'm trying to eliminate projects from the list (as opposed to being inspired by you or others ) so I can focus my money and energy elsewhere. Maybe I'll faze some of the small things in, but the big stuff has been written off for now. I'll live vicariously through the more dedicated on here for the next few years; be sure to post lots of pics
