portable cordless vacuums
portable cordless vacuums
Anyone got any in mind? Considering of getting one and ready to give up the hassle of lugging around the house and shop vac for small purposes. My gf's mom recently bought the dc31 animal (purple version) and im impress by it, but the pricetag is not so attractive. Although I might consider buying the DC31 (yellow version) since its a little cheaper if its really worth it.
I was also checking out this one from sears online,

anyone got any experience or something like it? Can someone recommend something good or am I better off getting a cheap black and decker for around $30?

Depends on what you're going to be using it for. The Dustbuster is great for dust bunnies and rabbit droppings. But try to vaccuum out your car with it and it just doesn't get all that clean. Not compared to the shopvac anyway.
The Dyson is overpriced and from what I understand the battery on it only lasts a few minutes and takes hours to charge. Probably good for real quick clean ups, but after about 20 minutes they're pretty much unusable, or so I've heard.

The B&D Dustbuster batteries will only last a few minutes from full charge-- the different versions are based on battery life length. I bought one for my mom for quick clean-ups, but I wouldn't use one to vacuum out a car or anything larger than a single couch.
going to use it for light duty such as the occasional lil pebbles my shoes brings into the car which is on driver side most of the time and probably some light cleaning in the house (like a 5 min job).
Then a $30-$40 Dustbuster (with larger capacity cordless battery) should be perfect.
