Porch and Bugs
I have a ground floor apartment, and everytime I open the door to get in, bugs fly in like they were escaping from something. I have a bug light in there but it doesn't work all that well.
I need something that can be active all the time, and keep the bugs away. No Candles. I have an outlet there so something that plugs in and stinks up the area with a bug repellant. Is there such a thing?

I've got the same problem here, and I've thought about getting one of those propane bug killers. I'm not sure how well they would work since we oftern have a breeze here that would limit its effectiveness.
So, my solution was to install a storm door. It opens out rather than in so any bugs sitting on the door don't get in and it is spring loaded so it shuts behind me real quick.
If you own the place, you may want to try that. If not, call the landlord or move when your lease is up.

Because there's nothing wrong, the LL can't control the bugs. They're outside and haul ass right in when I opne the door. When I open the door with the lights off, that helps alot, until I run into the door. The guy in the unit above me, took the bulb out of his porch light. Thats great, but he can't see anything when he's out there.

My lease is up in November, I'm looking at houses.

Ok. What should I buy? I don't know about that stuff.

Spraying the outside of the house works. My aunt in Puerto Rico has it done to her house (and the bugs there are rediculous) and only the occassional bug enters the house and they leave all their doors and windows open with no screens. Can't tell you what she used though.
