Sarlacc, were you able to get a better price locally than what's listed online for your TP??

They were offering a small rebate...but I think TP was also...and the Relax the back store gave me $200 store credit.

TP seems like Apple...they really control the pricing to hold value.

Thanks.

I would LOVE to find a hotel that had one or two rooms where, for a little more cash, I could sleep on a TP for a few nights to see if I really like it.

we bought based on the 90 day return policy. for the cost of the bed its worth it to just be out shipping if it sucked...

of course...it didnt suck.

I ended up with a TempurPedic Mattress. I got the BellaFina Bed for 900.00 bucks so i couldnt pass it up. I wanted the AlluraBed but for 900 i wasnt going to say no. I sleep MUCH MUCH better on this thing. Its amazing.

are you curling or bending your neck and back when you sleep? Putting your hand under your head while you sleep? What pillow are you using?

Sorry for the thread revival..

But I really gotta get a new King size mattress now since I'm getting married in 2 months.

Sarlacc, so did you go to Relax The Back store to get the mattress?

Hopefully we can purchase a King size mattress for around $1k-1.5k.

I see. So, I should expect to spend $1.5k-2k for a decent King sized mattress, correct?

Have you guys seen those mattress at Costco? I forgot what brand and model they were, but it was like $1k for a King size. Does anyone have those?

Also checking to see for those people that have had their tempur bed for a while - do you still like it?

I'm 8 years into a no-name whatever bed and I want to get something new that is more comfortable. Just want to make sure before i drop the coin that those who have had it for a few months/year still like it and think it's worth the money.

^ I, too, want to get some more personal experience stories from you guys who have had tempurpedic mattresses.

Just went to a local Sit n Sleep to check out all the mattresses. OMG these tempurpedics are so freaking comfortable. It feels so very great... They are very expensive though. Most of the ones that we thought it was good were mostly around $4000 for a king size.

Do they really last longer than the conventional mattresses? Do you guys think it's worth it? We got so spoiled at the store. Don't know what to do now. Can someone give us some good discount on these tempurpedics? If we can get one for like $3k or a little bit less, I think we'll get it

And what do you guys think about Simmons Comforpedic and Sealy Embody? They are basically cheaper version of tempurpedics. Some of the high end ones had similar quality to the tempurpedics.

maybe im too fat or sleep in the same spot everynight, but im not really liking my tempurpedic.. kind of has a groove if you want to call it from where i sleep..

i do have the tempur cloud which i think is supposed to be softer so

and whenever i sleep, i for some reason end up on my side and then my back hurts the next day.

i got mine a year ago.

The isoform(same as tempurpedic) I had for 4 years now. Can't say I think it was worth it. It's comfortable but I just don't like how it feels. How it gets hot, how it sinks in when I'm sleeping on it. It has held up decently so far. Also sex on this bed sucks. Again because it sinks with weight. Really need a firm bed for that aspect.

Yeah it gets hot in the FL summers. Even with the AC & ceiling fan. I sometimes wake up in sweat. I had to put down 2 sheets on the mattress.
I have been considering trying to sell it. Not sure what I could get $ wise & do people really buy used beds?

Well I bought an used bed before and Moog pwned me for it.

But I'm sure you can sell it.

My fiance and I are going back to the store this Saturday, so we'll see how it goes.

If we don't get the tempurpedic and just go for the conventional coil ones, which one do you guys recommend? For tempurpedic, our budget is like 3500, but if we do end up going for the coil ones, the budget will be 1500 for a king size.

I do have neck pain regularly and my fiance has some lower back pain, so we are trying to find something that's a little bit firm.

My tempur doesn't get hot, it's a newer design that has better airflow.

Also the rhapsody my mom has doesn't get hot either.

We are thinking of getting this one from Costco! It's forever returnable, so we wanted to go with this for now.

Shelling out $4k just isn't too smart for us at this point. We decided to purchase a house next year, so we want to save as much money as possible for down payment on house purchase.

Sorry...didnt see this til right now.

Yeah, I got my tempurpedic from the Relax the Back store. 0% for 3 years made spending 4g on a bed a little more easy to swallow.

The only thing in regards to sex is the "bounce" is gone because there are no springs...so in certain positions you have to work a little harder...its healthy!
