New condo and advice on cleaning
Moving into my new condo in less than 2 weeks.Question, the new place has hard wood floor, marble countertops and tiles. What is the best way to clean these surfaces? Water and soap? The kitchen would get oily sometimes, so would a degreaser work (like Lysol), or would it hurt the surfaces (both the hardwood floor and the marble)?
They make a wood/laminate cleaner with a special mop. You can get it at Menard's, Home Depot or Lowes. As for marble...I'm assuming its like granite, so you could use windex multi-purpose.
We have granite in our kitchen and I use Cinch or Method Marble/Granite Cleaner. Cinch works awesome on the grease spots but Method smells good. You should pick up some micro fiber towels in the automotive department at Target too. They work awesome and don't leave any streaks. You can wash them and re use them but don't use fabric softner on them. They work good on stainless appliances as well.
As far as the hardwood I try to put as little chemicals on them as possible. I usually just sweep or use a swiffer for dirt and dust and use Pledge Wood Floor cleaner and a mop. It doesn't leave any residue and smells good too. Happy Cleaning!
