Dyson Can't say enough good things about it (excluding the price).

If you don't like my Dyson, you're gay and have a small pecker, smell like 3 day old garbage and hot chicks laugh and point at you when you walk by. Oh and your mother is a whore.. [end message egg]

I love my Dyson. It is a bit pricy compared to other vacs but you get what you pay for.

Wow! I've never seen any Dysons that cheap before. Everywhere I've gone, they are the same price. Good find.

If you're into Kirby's I picked up a slightly used 2006 model for $400 w/ all accessories. I think the guy has another one also.

Miele.

Agree with above statement.

Vacuum guys also say that Miele have the least amount of breakdowns in the long term. They have a long, long history of making high quality products.

I'd recommend you go to a vacuum shop or two and talk to the dudes about what's out there and what price point you should look at -- they know the products much better then the yahoo at Target.

Had a tornado type vacuum that was one of Dyson's previous incarnations and the thing was not that good. He's an inventor has had his share of failures along the way -- the products look cool though.

Ordered one of these tonight. Bissell 3750 Lift-Off Bagless Vacuum with Free Bonus HEPA Filter.
This feature looks cool. You can remove the unit from the wheels and make it a canister vac.

Seems to have received the best ratings, even beating the infamous Dyson.

Ended up getting the vacuum for $99.99

Originally $229.99
Marked down to $139.99
$25 off appliance orders over $125
$15 coupon

$99.99 - oh and I signed up for that free 3 month free shipping deal they're running, so I'll get it in 2 days for $0

How sad is it that I'm excited about a vacuum.

Are they good on hardwood floors and carpet - or just meant for one or the other? Can it do stairs? Heavy? (Wifey questions)

The day I spend $600 on a vacuum is the day I hand it to my maid and say Happy Birthday.

They can pretty much do everything. Different adapters and sucking power. I use mainly on carpet (flat and on stairs) and it works very well. It also gets everything off the hardwood and wont scratch. Its not very heavy, most compact vacuum I've used. Its also the quietest.

KIRBY Ultimate G. Noting less!! Love the damn thing.

best investment since I been a home owner. Cleans carpet, tile, wood floors and even shampoos or use as a blower or mist sprayer.
No kdding. At least they prove your carpent is getting clean. I'll put it up against any DYson any time. Bring your check book also.

Also forgot to mention you can disconnet pcs on it to make it a shop vac for stairs and even auto detailing.

I paid way more then this site. That is b/c I say a demo done.

Also I did dontate my old Dyson for a little better discount on my Kirby. Never regretted it. Air feels cleaning in the house and not as much dust I used to get on everything.
