need help repairing door

so i'm moving out of my apt. soon b/c my lease is up and i'm almost done with school, but out of anger, i accidently punched my laundry room door . can anyone help point me in the right direction to fixing it? it's not made of pure wood. it's made of, i'm guessing, fibrous chopped up wood that has been pressed together. reminds me of a harder cardboard??? here are some photos.

the entire door:

you will have to repaint the door, which might throw up a red flag but...

You can patch that door with drywall mud. Just get some mud and a taping blade. Throw a coat on, sand. Throw another coat, and sand. do a third if necessary. Then throw a couple of thick coats of paint on. If you do a thin coat you will see a different texture - thick will cover that up.

You might need to use a knife to cut some of the high spots off.

First smack yourself in the forehead for being stupid!! But having been guilty of doing this myself, what can ya do. I would repair same way as previously recommended. Spackle it up, paint and run.
