So I got some questions about cleaning. I live in a dorm at school, but its pretty much apartment. We have a full kitchen pretty much, a living area, a bathroom which is split into two rooms (sinks in one, shower and toilet in the other) and two bedrooms. I live with three other guys and as much as two blame the other for being a slob, I know none of them will clean it and I can't stand living in filth. The kitchen and bathroom are some sort of laminate flooring and the rest is carpeted. I need to get a cheap vacuum for the room and the living area, so if anyone knows where to get a cheap one that will last that would be great as well. I need some stuff to clean the laminate floors (swifer maybe?) and the sinks, toilet and shower. Also if anyone has any helpful tips to make this easier that would be appreciated.

 

when I lived at college, we made a wheel of chores. There were four things: dishes, bathroom, kitchen, vacuum. Every week, we would spin the wheel and everyone would have a different chore to do that week. End of story.

Define cheap as far as the vacuum. For about $100 to $150 you can get one that will last.

For the floors, Swifers will work for the most part. Every now and then you'll probably have to get dirty and scrub. For the bathrooms, Lysol wipes work really well for the sink and toilets. Go to Costco and get a 3 pack. Leave one in the kitchen for counters. Regular Tilex or 409 for the shower will work.

All that said, the best advice I can give you is to hook up with Betty Crocker type and hope that she loves cleaning.
