First project 85% complete.
The monitor is 65"; viewing distance from wall to wall is approx 18 to 19ft depending on where the couch will be placed.
A 75" may very well be in the horizon.
Need to address imperfections (my ocd) & cut baseboard to size.

Nice work, definitely have the space to go up a size or two.
Gives me some ideas on my living room, my wife wants to get rid of the TV stand we currently have, but still need to hide wiring/devices.

Thanks guys.
Tools had a lot to do with it.
I initially started off with a cheap budget kit with plastic spatulas, trowel, and a couple of other items that was included.
Looked like absolute dog poop.... I went back to HD to pickup legit masonry tools and it made a world of a difference.

We're about 20 mins from Seattle and love it!
So much to do.
The drives are a complete 180 from S. FL; very scenic landscape.
Congrats dude!
When in doubt, fire up YouTube.... there's a tutorial for just about everything. That's what I do.
No fan of contractors.
What's first on your list to tackle?

Well its brand new so no need to do much in fixing, but we need to do the side yard but its a bigger job than me and my wife can handle, one of our friends will help us out with that.

What's the plan for the yard? Our neighbors think I'm insane when I do these projects but I've found the worst part of projects is the planning and the anticipation of whether you really can do it; you can.

Ask my wife, that's not true I had a ton of projects already done even though our place was new too

I've already alerted the wife about upgrading the monitor to something "slightly bigger" and relocate the existing to the master.
She gave me the side eye
I doubt we'll do shelves as we plan to add tall 2' vases with 4' tri-ball topiaries on both ends; should fill up the area nicely.
