How to handle nighttime bugs?
What's the best way to keep nighttime bugs away? Now that I have a decent yard I plan on spending a lot of evenings outside but don't want to get eaten alive. I want something that can keeps bugs out of my yard at night.
I have seen these things that run on propane. Are they any good? I never seem to have luck with the candles. They don't seem to have much of a range.

You can get the bug lights. The one that ZAPs the bugs. If you do, put it away from where you want to be. For instance, at the very back of the yard. It will attract the bugs away from the area you are in.
If you have a large yard, you may need more than one.

If you're considering a Mosquito Magnet (or similar product), you may just want to wait until late fall/early winter.
The 1-acre ones can easily go over $500 per unit during the summer, but come down to around $100 or so off-season. Tough it through this summer and get one next fall.
And yes, they do work.
