Have any of you converted a grill from propane to natural gas or the other way around?

I need to convert a natural gas grill to propane.

Was walking my dog on Sunday morning and noticed a rummage sale a couple blocks away from the house. I grabbed a few things (one being a Harmony One remote for $5 - and it works!) and noticed this grill outside and a sign on it saying "not for sale". I asked the owner about it and he said it's a natural gas grill and it needs work so he was just going to toss it. They're moving to Vegas so it makes no sense to haul it with.

Naturally I grabbed it and wheeled the SOB home. Now I need to decide what to do with it




So - have any of you done a conversion? How difficult is it? I know I need to basically change out everything, new burners, new pipes, new connections and what are orifices?

I cleaned it up yesterday and tested the oven, which works.

 

I'm pretty sure they make an adapter for grills to make them able to accept either propane or natural gas. We had to do that to the grill at the station and we got the conversion at Lowe's

 

Hmm. Maybe I'll run to Home Depot or Ace later and see what they say.

 

I just picked up a grill from lowes and they sold a conversion kit for propane to natural gas, you may be able to get something to go the other way, otherwise, contact the manufacturer
