Gazebo install
Gazebo install
Has anyone had any experience installing gazebos?
I bought something similar to this and will be installing it this weekend:
Basically it has three holes on the base of the gazebo to hold it down (4 pillars = 12 holes). I have a 10x10 concrete slab in the backyard. What would be the best way to secure it down so it won't blow away in strong wind?
Drill and screw it into concrete? Nail it down?
I haven't worked with concrete before and I don't want to crack it or anything, but I don't want the Gazebo to blow away either

Are you planning to leave it up year round?
I've actually seen people take 2 - 25 pound weights and slide them down each of the 4 vertical posts. That way it's easy to move or take down when you want.

Then I would put anchors in the concrete like these.

You drill a hole, pound these in, attach the leg of the gazebo, put the nut on and tighten it up.
It'll hold extremely well. They are made to expand in the concrete as you pound them in with a hammer.
