Finally Got My Deck

I all I did was write the check. The surface boards are Procell, it is more $$$ than anything else out there, but seems to be worth it. It's 16x12.

After talking with at least 12-15 companies over the last 2-3 years. I finally found one who would do the job at a good price with excellent references. I had two this year not even send me a bid after coming to my home. And two last year the same. I had one come out this year, it took him seven weeks to send me a bid, that was after I hired this guy.

The guys who did the work where great, the busted their asses only took one break for lunch on the first day. It took them less than a day and half to do. First day was about 10 hours.

Other than them not speaking English, almost no English it was good. Anybody in Northern Virginia looking for a good company let me know.

They dug six holes two of them were almost five feet deep. Now I look like ALL the other houses around me.

Now time for me do to something to the fence.

With the deck my basement is so dark, the deck provides a lot of shade.

Nice job! Great time of year to get this done too. Did you not want steps down to the yard or would that have been $$$$?

^^ No steps it, invites trouble.

There use to be a neighbor on another row of t/h's. The end unit had steps, so when then drunk b/f of her neighbor would come over, he would walk up the steps and jump over to the other t/h's deck to get it the backdoor.

Nice deck. I've got to say that is the first time I have seen a deck go up where the posts are put in that late, usually I see them go in first. Came out good though.

Very nice. Time to get a grill up there and some chairs and enjoy what's left of the summer.
