I bought a couple of faucets from this place . I think one was Kohler and one Grohe. Even with shipping they were cheaper than Home Depot or Loews.

As compared to?

Ability to return it if you don't like it > a few $$ saved buying it online.

Word, that is truth spoken. A few bucks vs flexibility is a no-brainer

My parents bought all their Hansgrohe hardware at a local specialty store... by doing that they could special order certain parts to be a different color. For example instead of being all-nickel, they did did nickel with gold trim.

Hansaclear is a decorative transparent showerhead that "enables water to be experienced" - you can see the jets at work inside. Innovative and stylish, Hansaclear is available as hand shower and wall-mount or ceiling-mount shower in three-spray futuristic design.

Hansaclear Lux shower is the illuminated from within version of Hansaclear. The shower handle holds the touch-button to select the color of the light and a small battery pack that requires an occasional brief re-charging.

Hansapurejet is another new handheld shower from Hansa. Adjusting a smooth scroll will switch between 1 or 2 jets.

Hansa2day handheld shower reinstates its entirely new concept of showering ... with the addition of colored decorative panel and chrome-plated shower head. Previously in chrome only, now available in subtle white, elegant silver, luxurious black, warm red and fresh yellow.

Hansastela joystick-style bathroom faucet is smooth and exact in operation, just like the Hansamurano. Thanks to the Hansaflow spout, the entire collection gets innovative and attractive look.

Hansapublic is a new electronic bathroom faucet from Hansa. Infrared activated, Hansapublic comes with a slick design not common in electronic fittings. Infrared activated shower is also a part of the collection.

I would go with a common brand, delta, etc... Simply because of easy access to parts.

While those trendy faucets look cool now, in 10 years you will be ripping them out because they look so 2007. I try to stay with conservative stuff only because they don't look out dated so quickly. I'm not the kind of guy that wants to remodel my bathroom every 10 years.

I don't even think they look good now.

We bought ours at the Great Indoors out in Lombard.

Prices aren't super low, but they have a decent selection. Ended up with this one:

+1 I need to pick up a rebuild kit and some plumbers grease for the delta in my kitchen... It wouldn't suprise me if the faucet is over 10-15 y/o, but since it's a delta, it a snap to get parts for it.

I got ours at Home Depot.

I checked out a plumbing speciality place, and they were similar.
