Extending an electrical outlet to the backyard?

Has anyone done this before? I'm basically going to extend an outlet on the back of my house out to the far end of the backyard. This outlet is GFCI. I want to put a 4 outlet box out there (its for a fountain, lighting for the fountain and a low voltage lighting transformer).

So far, I plan on running the wire with PVC, but the question I have is exactly how many wires do I need to run and how? I saw that the two outlets at the back of the house have 2 black wires and 2 white (hot) wires, plus an exposed ground wire. If im going to run a 4 outlet, how do I get the extra wires run? Can I just use some sort of terminal block? Also, what type of wire can I use?

Hopefully someone has done this before and can shed some light. I've searched google for the past hour and cant find anything specific.

Why can't you just put two wires on the feed and then feed each of the receptacle?

Use DIRECT BURIAL rated wire for the run.

I even bought a remote switch to turn the fountain on and off from the house.

Biggest pain was getting the wiring right for the electrical.

Mostly trying to figure out what was the hot wires and what was the "load" wires going to an outside lamp. With trial and error I got it figured out...It was pretty easy from there...
