For those looking for a top-quality 14.4, this is a great deal.

If you have a 10% coupon it's an even sweeter deal.

NIce. Ive killed both my batteries in my 18v. Its almost cheaper to buy a New drill with 2 batteries than to just buy 2 new batteries. Ive seen sales at HD that come pretty close.

Seems like everything is getting that way. I bought the Rigid cause it wasn't much more for 2 batteries + new drill and lifetime warranty on batteries.

look into buying the batteries on ebay...some are legit...i'll only buy the sealed in package ones. upgraded to Lithium Ion that way a year or so ago.

HD just had a 2 pack of XRP 18v batteries for a little over 100 bucks. I picked up 2 packs.

The lifetime battery warranty really intrigued me, but will only be useful if the tool itself is good.

Will they replace the batteries for you at Home Depot or are they going to overcharge you on shipping and handling to replace them?

How has the Ridgid drill been so far? Looking at the 18V ones myself, specifically for the lifetime service agreement on batteries. I've killed 3 batteries on 2 drills so far (Craftsman, where a single 19.2V replacement is over $100!).

It was a great drill for the few weeks I had i. Just didn't need another drill.
